The Alchemy of Her is a collaborative portrait project centered on transformation, resilience, and self-reclamation, expressed through symbolic, alchemy-inspired imagery. Each month pairs two women within a shared theme, visually exploring how identity is shaped through pressure, rupture, and intentional becoming. Alongside the photographs, participants contribute written reflection statements, creating a layered narrative that honors lived experience rather than perfection or performance. The project exists both as a physical printed calendar and an expanded digital experience, where viewers can engage with deeper stories, behind-the-scenes context, and additional visual elements that cannot live on the page alone. The result is a cohesive art and storytelling project designed to be revisited as a record of transformation, not used up and thrown away.
